I believe job description is important, not title. As discussed earlier threads, in most Financial companies software programmers have AVP or VP title. That should not matter as long as job responsibilities are same.

First thing is you need to renew your passport.
Old passport will be given back.
Also if your passport is not having more than 6 months validity, US Consulate may not stamp your visa and also there could be problem with your travel. (This is my opinion)

I am wondering about this because my I-485 has been filed in Texax Service Center and the receipting date is still way behind. I live in Minnesota and I need to ask my lawyer why did they file my application in TSC instead of NSC. Is there a choice about which Service Center to file applications in? Is there a possible rejection because my application could have been filed in NSC but is filed in TSC now?

I mailed it to NSC on aug 3rd nothign yet..
Sorry to hear that....Mine is TSC and They receieved my Applications on Aug 13, 2007. But One of My friend Filed with NSC and They receieved his application on Aug 16, 2007. His Check got cleared couple of days before.

Me and my husband(primary applicant) filed our I 485, I 765, and I 131. Recieved by USCIS on 06/29/2007. our lawyer recently got our reciept nos. my husband got a notice saying FP fee rejected and has been asked to re submit the fee,when, in fact all our checks have already been cashed.all of my notices say case recieved and pending.my question is ,with my husband's case in suspense, will my application be also with held or will USCIS go ahead with my application. Hi
While parents apply for a tourist visa, in DS-156 where it says "who will pay for the trip", if they mention "self" do we still have to send an Affidavit of Support.
Secondly, do they have to show sufficient cash in their bank account for the trip or will investment proof be ok.
Thirdly, our extended visa is expiring 28thApr'07 & we've applied for renewal in feb'07. We have n't received the receipt yet. Will our current visa copy be sufficient ?
