That may be the problem. You didn't use it enough to become comfortable with it. It was a little weird when I first began to use mine as well, but after a day of using it I was in love.
I dont know what people see in the Mighty Mouse, I tried one out in a local computer shop and found it VERY frustrating to use.

No where on the sites does it mention 64-bit capabilities, unless i'm missing it. Can 64-bit be safely assumed?

Nice metric you have there, $some people on the internet have said it, thus it must be true.
Obviously taking everything out of context, when we are dealing with the bleeding obvious there is no reason not to suggest it. I watched the video before reading the comments, so your point has no substance.

Remember Back to the Mac. Let's gear up some Lion, iMac revision and other Maccentric rumors. Page 2 it or get a new 'iOS Nothing new to see here folks' tab.
Maybe I'll start a blog and call it Risky SuperNova. Then I can predict nonsense and get quoted every other week on MR.

Wow, we're all over the place aren't we. If we cover our bases we'll have to be right! :D
hahaha, yes, indeed.
Just put up the whole calendar and say, "one of these days, we'll get an iPad 3, and an iPhone 5."

That is why iPhone (4) sales will remain close to zero until the iPhone 5 introduction. A white iPhone 4 will not change that very much.
????? When did this happen? You do realize that 99% of consumers don't follow this stuff that close and have no idea when products are released.

Yeah while Apple realizes people want their mobile smartphone to be small and portable as that is a key part of the puzzle the rest of the industry is trying to duplicate this:

with a touch screen.
I hear those big phones cause cancer.

I could care less what the microsoft's EULA agreement says. If I'm able to install it I could care less if it is illegal. As long as it is only on one computer then I'm doing it. And they wonder why people pirate their software...

Could this be the eventual end of usb altogether?
Unlikely. USB still retains advantages in ubiquity, cost and far more devices supported per connection (128 vs 16). I would see WiFi and Bluetooth as bigger USB competitors.

Is Verizon and the competition any better? I don't think so, and that's why AT&T can get away with not investing in additional towers.
AT&T is collecting our money, but not spending the money needed to provide the service we are paying for. I suppose it's great on paper for them and their bottom line, but at some point will this catch up with them?? We are at least a generation behind the rest of the world but AT&T can get away with it because the rest of the competition is doing the same.
I wonder what is pushing the other countries into 4G, and at this rate we may soon be 2 generations behind. A similar situation exists with internet broadband where the rest of the world gets faster internet than us. :(

Its like let me provide you our technology so you can make our screens for us and they turn around and take that technology to make a product of their own rebranded under the *****ung name.
Thats whats wrong here.
Right, it's like Apple researched every mobile technology by itslef without infringing anyone's patent.

You're crazy. :) But one thing I would like to see is a free upgrade to iLife for everyone who upgrades Leopard. Or else some kind of Leopard / iLife buy-together discount. That would be most welcome.
rjf
Obviously we'd all like to get something for nothing, but as the newest OS and the newest iApps both come for free with every new Mac, the boxed versions are effectively upgrades and Apple would feel that they're offering them at reduced prices anyway compared to their full value.
But I'd love to be wrong on this.
Which reminds me. Every time I've bought an OS upgrade ( for as long as I can remember - probably back to OS 7 ) there has been a set of coupons included to prove that I purchased it. Has there ever been a scheme where customers actually get something in exchange for those coupons ?

As long as Apple doesn't grow too fast, this is great news. Get to Gateway in the next few years, and I'll be happy. Just don't grow too big, Apple.
Catching up to Gateway is good, I suppose, but I seriously didn't even know they were even still around. That's a pretty low bar to set...

We took down who they thought was invincible. That will hurt their ego and their pride. Will they try to retaliate, sure.
Who knows what information we may have found in that mansion that could hurt them.

Brea Mall update:
Two employees came by about 10 minutes ago. They were counting the line, I am #204. line is at ~250-300, and they cannot guarantee stock for anyone just now getting here. For those who do come, I'm wearing a vintage Apple Mission Impossible shirt and am across from red robin.

Someone will make a case. Do you think these established companies want some newjack to come in and steal their entire market? Once you buy a case and like it, you typically stay with that company for your next one. Businesses would rather make money instead of making points.
There is not a huge market for the white iPhone and there may not be that much money to be made. Yes, a smaller case manufacturer may come out with something, but not somebody like Speck or Incase. Considering the delay of the white iphone and the iPhone 5 that many are waiting for, how many of these things are going to be sold? I just don't think a large case maker is going to find it economical to make a new case (if necessary), with the iPhone 5 potentially coming in the summer.

Have you been reading the recent rumors regarding the next iPhone release? That's the whole point of releasing the white iPhone 4 now, IMO. It's tying people over until iPhone 5, which will almost definitely not see the light of day at WWDC.
IMO it just seems odd for Apple to break from tradition like that and not do a refresh. Who knows, your guess is as valid as mine!

Dude,,...... you didn't get rid of the chin....
You can't mention iMac around here without someone saying.
I hope they get rid of the chin.:D
True enough. But if there was no chin, I may as well have drawn an iPad on a stick, and no one would be impressed by that. ;)
ps. Yes I think a touch screen mac is coming but it seriously needs to be a new product not an iMac. Also needs to be much much smaller and lighter like the iMac gets the Air Treatment with say 17 or 20inch screen. No Stand.
I'm not really sure what the point would be. If you lay a 17 or 20 inch Mac down on your lap, give it a touch screen, and modify the interface so it's more suited to the less precise input of fingers… haven't you just created a bigger iPad? (Not that a bigger iPad wouldn't have it's uses, but it wouldn't be a Mac, and I'd question whether it would warrant yet another 'marketing name'.
I suppose it's possible, as many presume, that Apple is looking to merge OS X and iOS, but it's never been that convincing of an argument to me. There are some real incompatibilities between the two in my mind. Many OS X apps demand the precision and unrestricted visibility that a keyboard and mouse give you, but once you're using a keyboard and mouse, the display has moved away from your fingers. A vertical display keeps it within reach, but humans just aren't suited to using a vertical touch screen for more than a few minutes, as Steve Jobs has himself remarked.
If the future were some kind of OS X / iOS hybrid, why did Apple invent iOS in the first place? Why not just go straight for this touchable OS X Nirvana if it exists? I suspect it doesn't exist, and Apple understood that a usable touchscreen interface has a unique set of requirements, benefits and limitations.
As for what this 'ix.Mac.MarketingName' is, I actually haven't a clue. It's somewhat intriguing though. It's kind of exciting to think that the inventive minds at Apple might be hatching some new kind of device. A little optimistic maybe, but who knows?

I just updated mine and there is a noticeable difference in speed with this update. It is much faster in opening applications and text messages.
Lies, someone always says this with every update. The animations are still often laggy.
